Famous vegetarian athletes
So who can make the grade? Quite a lot of vegetarian athletes. So many, in fact, that I've compiled a list.
Now this list is not supposed to be comprehensive. Still, if I’ve missed someone important, please add them in the comments section. And I did try to be accurate. Still, if you find a mistake, note that too, please, in the comments section.
Either way, this list of famous vegetarian athletes should get you off to a (forgive me) running start.

Hi I wonder if you know of any athletes doing charity works or great deeds now? I am making a research for it. Thanks
Do we know if all of these guys were veg during their playing careers, or turned later?
In John Robbins(of Baskin Robbins fame),Diet for a New America, other athletes are listed. His book was published in 1987 so there maybe new record holders.

Roy Hillagan-Mr.America-bodybuilder
Stan Price-world record bench press
James&Jonathan deDenato-world record-distance butterfly swimming
Murray Rose-3 gold medals(1956),once considered greatest swimmer of all time
And the list goes on from skiiers, cyclists, tennis pros, etc.
