You mean you're not here for the picture (which comes from here, land of many adorable and amusing captioned pet shots)? You're here for the contest? Well, suffice it to say it is free, there is a great prize, and you can win, win, WIN!
But more on that later.
For now, let's kick off kitchen gadget week with some of the weirdest kitchen gadgets around (and, yes, there will be more about the contest).
Kitchen gadgets more weird than a computer magazine running a piece on the weirdest kitchen gadgets
PC Magazine, of all publications, has compiled a list of the 10 Weirdest Kitchen Gadgets. Why a PC magazine is worrying itself about kitchen gadgets, I do not know. But I do know the list is good for a giggle which is an ideal way to kick off kitchen gadget week.
So what will you find on the list? Well, you will certainly find a temperature-controlled butter dish (it is perched on a recharging station and has a lid that plugs into your power outlet) in designs such as the ever-popular Cow. And a chrome peppermill that uses four AA batteries. What are the batteries for? Well, of course, they make the peppermill automatic (too much work to grind your own peppercorns, I guess). But, hey, they also power an light. For, erm, nighttime eating. Yes, that must be it!
Oh, and you'll find the Hog Wild Twirling Spaghetti Fork. And don't forget the Musical Cake Slice. And, where would we be without the . . . well, you should check out the site yourself.
And as for our contest, stay tuned
I don't know if the kitchen gadget we are giving away would win a weird award, but, hey, it is up to you to decide. So stay tuned for more information.
